I am not sure about the best photography books even though I have a lot of books on photography, from landscape photography to glamor photography. However, I think you should try Behind the Shutter. It is a photography magazine not only gives you photography tips but also an opportunity to participate in photography contests.

Photography websites and YouTube are the best. As a beginner, you might not have the cash to buy books or pay for courses. These are the best.

When you search online you will find a lot of photography tutorials and this might confuse you because you do not know where to go. In that case, you can try Lynda, which is a site to learn photography through online courses. You have to pay membership fees though.

I prefer to watch videos since I have hyper visuals and understand things better when I see them. This means that I can browse for such stuff online especially on youtube or other sites that have video content. Everyone has a preference nonetheless and I would never impose mine on anyone.

Yea I think video content teaches more better than the book does, because you will have the opportunity to watch as it is being done and also practice the same way but if you make use of book online, when a word you don't understand so being used you will check the dictionary and may not be able to understand the procedure better, YouTube is the best option for that.

You can see what the individuals teaching are doing as they issue instructions and it will become easier for you to follow up. With time you will have made a great photographer just because you appreciate the power of visual learning. Books should not be disregarded nonetheless.

For me, the best source of information about photography is some websites or Youtube videos that can teach you basic information about photography. But if there is a book, it would be The Art of Photography: An Approach to Personal Expression. I never tried reading this book but I have a friend who read this and this is the book that he recommends. This book is good for a beginner, intermediate, and advanced photographer.

Photography as an artwork desires each training and practice. Studying article, ebooks and viewing films online are all awesome area to get began with growing your interest in photography into something more serious. However, photography is complicated and need a specialized ability and also you need to relied on sources that you may depend on to take ahead step as a professional photographer. This is in which books come in. I recommend this book by Bruce Barnbaum "The Art of Photography"

I am not a professional photographer or anything like that, but I do have interest in photographed sceneries. I always google images of such and make them as my wallpapers. I serve them as inspiration so I can also take pictures of places where I travel.

I'd instead go for online courses rather than books. If ever I need to learn something online, I immediately head over to Udemy to check out their list of courses. Prices go for as low as $11.99 and in my honest opinion, it's worth the price.

I'm more of a course person myself too. I find it easier to learn by doing, rather than learn by reading. Wherever possible I recommend doing courses in person, too. For some people depending on where they live, online might be the only option, but I like having an expert there who can literally show me in person what to do. Plus I like being able to ask questions directly!

I do agree with you on the fact that learning in person is the better thing to do. But of course, to do that, you need to free up your schedule and have some time to attend the classes. If not, and you want to learn on demand when you feel like it, having an online course will surely come in handy.

Yes, I don’t even know if where I live right now has in-person courses available anywhere. I think if you live in a big city then you’d be able to find one easily but that’s not the case for me right now.

I do think that it’s hard fitting in with in person class times though, like you said. A lot of online courses have much more flexible modes of delivery, which is helpful in today’s fast paced society.
