Who is your Favorite Comic Book Artist?

I love the work of Marvel Comics Legend John Byrne his cover works for the X-Men book series was excellent.

But what caught my eye is his
passion for details,  most notably seen in the Hulk series.  There's this special issue in which The Hulk was battling The Abomination mano y mano in space, where there's no sound, the issue doesn't have a single dialogue bubble, it was complete artistry.

Masashi Kishimoto has my vote when it comes to manga artwork he's the best. Having drawn Naruto and Shippuden series his drawings are vibrant and lively. You could clearly see the emotions the character is feeling.

I am also a fan of Naruto. I think Masashi Kishimoto is very talented. Another artist that comes it mind is Hajime Isayama, he is the one who made Attack on Titan. Both Naruto and Attack on Titan are my favorites when it comes to action in manga. I regularly go for sappy, romantic ones, but I really like these two manga.

Naruto fan here. I love the story too but when it comes to ending it became so cheesy. But the story and the man that is behind that story are really brilliant. One of the greatest anime that has ever made.

Hi there again, Kakashi-sensei. Who is your Favorite Comic Book Artist?

I also love Masashi Kishimoto. He's the one who made Naruto my favorite Manga/Anime. His works somehow made me who I am today because I learned a lot from that anime. Naruto taught me how to face life and its challenges. You have to strive hard and pursue your goals of being Hokage or anything you want to if you put all the hours and efforts to achieve it, every single day.

Thanks for reminding me about Naruto's mindset. I'm kind of not applying it right now with my life. I need to get my life and goals sorted out. Who is your Favorite Comic Book Artist?

I like him too! I like his Naruto and even more his Boruto now. My favorite character is Sakura for he drawn her character so beautifully especially in the Boruto series. In fact, Kishimoto said himself that his most favorite design is Sakura's and I'm glad he said that.

I like Yoshihiro Togashi too! As fans, we usually call him Togashi-sensei or Yoshihiro-sensei though he is not literally our teacher. Sensei is a Japanese word which means teacher . Togashi sensei is the manga artist for my first favorite anime which Hunter x Hunter. You know, his arts/designs are great but sometimes it is weird because some of his designs for his HxH's characters are not totally what it seems, like if you take a look at the character first you'll immediately say the character's gender (for example it is a boy) but it is actually not. Honestly, I used to like this character for a long time and I thought he is a she. And there are also some characters that looks like a girl but it is actually a boy. It's weird, isn't it? I wonder why did he design like that.

Superman is my favorite comic book super hero. I love watching superman movies. When I was little I put a towel on my shoulder and make it like the cape of superman. Then I run around or jump from the bed to fly like superman.

I think the artist that comes to mind very first for me is Fiona Staples. I love the work she did in Saga. Her artwork is incredibly detailed, and her style fit the "space opera" feel of the series very well in my opinion.

I'm also a huge fan Jean Giraud Moebius, whose fantasy artwork is just phenomenal. His work is detailed, intricate, unique, and always interesting to look at. I'd definitely give his work some love if you haven't already!

I like the avengers and how the story become something interesting, but don't have any idea about the artist behind them. thanks for this one, now learn something. So they're the responsible for avengers.

There are actually a lot of Avengers stories from the comic books, these are just my favorites. It helps that the Marvel movies did justice to the comic books without the need for the general public to actually read the comics themselves.

My favorite manga artist is Kanae Hazuki, the one who made Say I Love You. I like the simplicity of the drawings, characters, and story that she makes. Simplicity really does go a long way. I love how the manga version is presented wherein the artistry of the drawings doesn't overpower the story itself.

Hazuki is a talented lady and one that is not even talked about so much in the circles of comic artists that we have. The thing that I enjoy about her art is the way she takes out time to make the drawings look special and one that you can say that it is quite natural as well.

For me, I love how she executes the story line. One could really relate to it . I think that the way she delivers the story makes the characters that she draw more realistic.

One of the first names that pops into my head when I think "favorite comic book artists" is Jhonen Vasquez. He is the creator behind the Invader Zim series, which is a hilarious cartoon that used to air on Nickelodeon. For those into animation, I'd definitely recommend checking it out as it is really ridiculous and hilarious. His comics are equally hilarious and dark. Another name that stands out for me is Akira Toriyama, the creator of the Dragon Ball manga and anime series. Both artists played a huge role in my early adulthood so they will forever share a special place in my heart.

One of my favorites is Writer/Artist Whilce Portacio who's done a lot of work in Marvel comics. His dazzling covers and comic book art on The Uncanny X-Men books and Spawn are some of the best I've seen.

Another favorite of mine is Sergio Aragones who wrote and draw Groo the Wanderer in the late 80's. His drawings where amazing each scene was complex and maximalist it is packed with detailed objects and characters. I miss that comic book series. It was released by Epic and Darkhorse Comics in the late 80's.

Leinil Francis Yu for me. A well known Filipino comic book writer and artist. He was part of the marvel comic like the famous "the Punisher", "X-factor", "Uncanny X-men", and also the comic book "Wolverine". His work is one of a kind.

Masasabi Kishimoto of Naruto Series is one of the best Manga (Japanese comics) Artist I've seen with his colorful art, he doest delve too much in emotion but the color he uses are so bright and always has a jolly mood in it. His fight scenes are also very good.

He is basically the God of Shounen anime. Every anime or manga that are being released nowadays are based on or influenced by his works. Even the rivalry of GokuxVegeta is present in modern animes like the NarutoxSasuke, for example.

Akira Toriyama the artist of Dragon Ball is also regarded as one of the artists that changed and revolutionized the history of Manga due to the worldwide success of Dragon Ball. He went against the norm that powerful characters should be the biggest ones in terms of physical size, he then designed the most powerful characters in Dragon Ball smaller in stature.

I'm a fan of dragon ball, I used to watch that since in grade school, and sad to say, until now I really don't know the whole story and how many dragon ball series. And now, This Akira Toriyama the artist behind the Dragon ball, he is really great. thanks for this info.

Another artist that comes to mind is Marvel's Frank Miller he gave life to such notable series like The Dark Knight Returns and Sin City. His best art was in Daredevil which he ink regularly.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Yes, I love him because he created pretty good female characters, like Elektra for Daredevil, and Carrie Kelly for DC. He also has a very particular way of combine drama, with some manga, and he adds cynical attitudes on the characters, so that's very unique. Also, he has inspired producers and directors to take his art to the big screen, so he's awesome.

I'm a fan of both John Romita Jr. of Kick-Ass his first notable work was done at the age of 13 when he created a Marvel character called 'The Prowler' for the comic book Amazing Spider Man. It is good to note that his father John Romita Sr. was also a good long time Marvel Artist for Spider Man books and also the creator of 'The Punisher' character and series. He's now 89 years old and still draws .

My favorite comic book artist is Stan Lee. The creator of Marvel World that is favorite of most people that love comics. And from manga artist it is Oda who created One Piece. Who is your Favorite Comic Book Artist?

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

EfficientNinja
I also like Oda. I've watched every episode of the anime up to the latest. I've read the manga last year but I got tired waiting for their weekly releases and want to read a bunch of chapters in one go. I also have to say that the anime's animation quality greatly decreased. It's like they are too tight on budget and I think they're also putting fewer chapters of the manga in one episode. They seem to do this to avoid the anime catch up to the manga chapters.

One of my favorite Manga Artists is Nobuhiro Watsuki for his masterful artwork on the Manga hit Rurouni Kenshin which is an action romance story of a legendary Meiji Era swordsman named Kenshin Himura. His art is always filled with emotions whether it's anger or pain but it has this comical element that will always leave you smiling at the end.

I haven't read the manga version, but I have seen the anime version of it. I have to say that I like the flow of the story. The story line isn't too dark, unlike some of other animes that I have seen in the past.

Stan Lee is my favorite artist, he's done everything and his accomplishments are just amazing, he's a publisher, editor-in-chief, executive producer, a great if not the best writer and he is also the
Chairman of Marvel Comics at the age 96. Don't forget he's also actor, he's done cameo roles in marvel movies. To think that he was born in 1922 and is still working now is simply amazing.

It's simply amazing to know that Mr Stan Lee is still working in the sense that he is someone that I used to watch his movies back in those days and I've been thinking that he must have retired from active work. I guess that has got to show that Mr Lee has got the passion to keep doing what he enjoys best which is the work of art and making people laugh.

Japanese influenced a lot of people around the world through their own style of cartoon which is anime. This must be also one of their biggest contribution they made in the world. Maybe a lot of people or children prefer anime or manga because of its physical features that is kinda different with real human figure and the big eyes that looks cute. I just find it attractive and enticing than others.

Shun Saeki, artist / illustrator of the Manga hit Shokugeki No Souma is another good artist. His passion for detail can easily be seen on how he draws Soma Yukihira and Erina Nakuru as well as the other characters and also on how he illustrates the different kinds of dishes featured in Food Wars.

My other favorite comic book artist is Marcio takara, The detective comics by marcio takara will show you how to make a fight scene and turn violence into a bloody choreography of punches and reactions. This the example of why Detective Comics stands out as one of DC's best books and,and for me, the best Batman book on the shelves.

I think Sal Buscema a Marvel pioneering artist who's claim to fame is his Covers for the Defenders, Captain America , Incredible Hulk comic book series.

Sal is the brother of another great Marvel Artist the late John Buscema who was responsible for inking the Avengers and Silver Surfer series.

I've read a lot of Mangas and one of my favorite artists is Ryoichi Ikegami of Crying Freeman and Mai, The Psychic Girl.
