Begonia is a good flower for taking pictures as well and the fact that many sometimes don't have enough knowledge and even don't know it before taking pictures with it makes it the one that I will really good for as well. It is a nice flower that brings quality to pictures.

Carnations are really good flower subjects when it comes to outdoor photography, it's best to shoot it in nature and with a good sunshine. Carnations always looks bright and it makes photos more positive or happier looking.

True! Also try too look for flowers that the following qualities
1. looks full or takes a lot of space - these type of flowers looks good in pictures. It takes a lot of space which is perfect for backgrounds and such.
2. colorful - There are some variety of flowers that are colorful and very attractive in pictures. Multiple colors adds texture and depth to the picture.
3. Does not easily wilt - Flowers that can last a few days is cost effective. I think it is better if you take pictures of live plants and use it as background.
4.In season - seasoned flowers are much cheaper than those which are not.

Oh, I definitely agree. Sunflowers look good and feel good. I usually get a whiff of them when they're displayed outside. The best are the freshly bloomed variety. Gotta love that scent.

Now that I think of it, I actually don't really smell the flowers that I take photographs of. In fact, I never really think of smelling the scent of flowers and appreciating it or to distinguish one over another. I have to improve on that aspect, haha.

I also love taking pictures of sunflowers. Here in the Philippines, there are a lot of sunflower farms. Sunflowers are really relaxing for me.

Yes, sunflowers are just beautiful. They're so colorful and they always look good on pictures. One of the best way to have a great shot with them, is going to a sunflower field, like the ones you can find in Kansas or South Dakota. Also, Ohio and Georgia do sunflower festivals in Summer, so you will have thousands of chances to get amazing photography.

I like sunflowers as well, in my opinion, sunflowers are the most unique among all the flowers. It's color and seeds are so perfect. It is indeed a picture perfect flower. I usually give my girlfriend sunflowers and she also loves it for her picture for her instagram. As I said, sunflowers are unique and the best!

Begonia flowers is I think a nice one also but I just find it to be rare in nature since there are only certain individual who have an interest in this type of flower to take some picture because of being simple yet a unique one. I think it a choice for everyone to take this kind of decision to make.

I love all of the ones you listed, but I think my personal favorites are tulips! I'm fortunate because there's quite a few tulip fields in my local area, and when they're in season it's incredible to look at. So much color, and so much beauty!

I like African Lilies a lot, it has that mysterious appeal that you seldom experience in flowers. Maybe it's because of its uncanny appearance and colors which sets it apart from other flowers.

I love flowers too. My only problem here is that I really don't know how to take care of them. I'm afraid that they might just die and I don't want that to happened. So I guess I just end up taking photos of it. The list of flowers that amaze me all time are:

Another suggestion is daisy. I love watching the blooming of this kind of flower. I usually find orange colored daisy. You can choose other kinds of colors too.

Roses are good for taking pictures especially when it is all about pictures of romantic scenes, but the truth is that roses are not becoming quite common which makes the need to have some adjustments pretty necessary as well.

You have to find the best angle for roses, or find a way how to make it something unique compare to other pictures of some photographers. because roses are very normal or common subject for some photographers. You have to use your creativity to make on top.

i agree, roses are commonly used in photography as a main subject or just an additional feature. Having roses for a primary subject could be hard because of competition, there are tons of pictures with roses and nowadays it seemed normal. But if you have a unique and authentic idea, it could make your work outstanding.

I agree on that red roses are a great one for taking pictures because they are very lovely and very attractive to see. My mother love red roses that is why she make a plant on it in our backyard so that she will not anymore buy on it in the market. Red roses honestly was one of my favorite pictures whenever I am painting something during my idle time or when I feel motivated to do so.

You are right on that my friend, there is no need to buy red roses on the market since it is already available in our back yard so my father would not really had to make any efforts at all. Honestly red roses doesn't smell good for me, I am just being attracted by its design and beauty. I feel relax and feel convenient whenever I saw a red roses because sometimes I do picked at our backyard so that I can give a red roses for my girlfriend.

Who doesn't love roses? They are really beautiful aren't they and the fact that you can get them in other colours, and not just red means they can truly look beautiful in any pictures that you take with them/of them. But you do need to ensure that you use a device that can take good pictures because you can easily take a bad picture of roses.

I think most of us like red roses not just because of its beauty but I think it is also because of its unique characteristic that is not present from other type of flowers. Red roses has so much to do because it is mainly seen in some important occasions or celebration that is why that flower is very special and important to me. I would love to have it over and over again as long as I have the chance of having it.

I agree. There is just something about red roses that make them extremely attractive and great for both photographs and as a present to someone as well. The fact that it's also the most popular colour for roses is probably down to the fact that they are also the most common. I tend to come across red roses a lot more than I would any other colour, to be honest.

You can try taking pictures of various kinds of flowers. However, you should try to take pictures of flowers in the garden. Tey taking pictures in the morning when the dew is still left on the petals. Do not use flash, use a reflector instead to brighten the flower. Even though people have a preference for different flowers, every flower is beautiful and can produce a great picture. Even the wildflowers will give you a good picture.

I also take pictures of flowers in our own garden or yard whenever I get a new camera. It's one of the most accessible places to try it out if I want to take a picture of a flower. Whenever my family and I go to parks, I find vibrant colored flowers that are picture worthy. I like to practice doing macro shots and I am satisfied if I get the picture or angle that I want.

I guess he should also consider what is on season or what is abundant at their location. I think if he is going to consider that, he may cut off the cost of the flowers in half or even not spend any at all. For example, if hydrangeas or hibiscus are abundant in their location, why not find a place where there are lots of it and take the photo shoot there. It is like hitting two birds with one stone. He gets the flowers, good lighting and there is a possibly good location for the photo shoot.

I agree it can be very hard to find them in other countries, so they aren't really big subjects for photography. Our country has a "sunflower season" where you see a lot of sunflowers blooming ready for their photography session.

Haha, why not? Consider them too overused or clichéd?

In any case, while I like to photograph literally any flower because they're each beautiful and unique, there are certain ones which I would consider my favorites.

At the top of my list is the dahlia. The intricate spirals, color gradients, and varieties make for an extremely interesting subject to photograph. They're really mesmerizing flowers.

I'm a big fan of lotus flowers as well. I'm somewhat of a spiritual person, and the ancient spiritual meaning that lotus flowers represent make them really significant to me.

I also love hibiscus flowers for their unique petals and vibrant colors.

hydrangea, hibiscus and sunflowers are some of the flowers that looks good on photographs. They are easy to find and it is also good when it comes to volume. These types of flowers are vibrant in color and also takes up a lot of space even though the quantity isn't that much.

I'm a fan of sunflowers myself. I think they're really beautiful and sometimes can improve my mood by just looking at them. It's funny, I accidentally made a garden of sunflowers in my yard. I had put out a homemade bird feeder, and I filled it up with sunflower seeds. I guess the birds were messy eaters because some of the seeds fell onto the grass below and around it. Once springtime came, those seeds actually began to sprout, and now I have a bunch of sunflowers growing in my yard! I decided to keep them since they're such a beautiful flower.

Orchids for me. The unique formation of orchid flowers will give you a lot of options how to take your shots, and there're a lot of variety of orchids, so it's really hard to compare them to each others, The colors of this orchid also is very strong. I like actually the purple one, I just don't know the name, all I know is orchid.

Sorry to butt in but I can't resist to answer your question. OH yeah, I forgot about orchids! I've always been fascinated about the unique flower characteristics of the orchid family and the different variations in their flower structure. In addition, they really have great photography spots in the wild since they can be found in the most unexpected locations compared to other flowers.

I agree, orchids are great. In my own opinion, I like live orchids not cut ones. The flower itself has it's own good qualities, but I think live ones are better because it is more appealing for my taste. So, I agree that the flowers, grown or wild has an appeal, location wise, they do grow beautifully either way, which is good in photographs.

My grandmother grew orchid flowers and it's a perfect place for me and my siblings to take pictures anytime we come to visit. There is no we would come home with taking several pictures with the flowers in the background, it's just beautiful.

Nothing looks better than hanging orchids in the woods. There's a lot of orchids in my parents home and when I was a small boy, I use to look at it at night, with the moonlight it just look perfect. It's contained in coconut shells and hung in a trunk of a large tree.

Yes I agree that orchid flowers are really beautiful, I was also taking good care some of it in my house because I really find them beautiful and really relaxing on my part. After all the long hours of work I will just see my orchid flower or even take a shot on it and it really makes me feel fine.

I also like the sampaguita flower because of its simplicity and beauty which is really great for pairings and art work or even for Photoshop. I like to take pictures in it and to have it as my screen saver for my gadget such as mobile phone and a PC as well. I enjoy taking photos of it because of its being white in color which emphasizes calmness and peace of mind.

Yes, i think it will be a good subject. It will showcase the skills of the photographer because of its simplicity and also that it's a tiny flower. I think it's less appreciated in our country because we have them almost everywhere sold in the streets. The white color actually stands for purity, innocence, reverence and humility.

Yes, I think I would like to take a beautiful shot with a garden of sunflower. In my country, there is a certain place here where the owner turns it to be a big garden of very tall sunflowers. It became viral and a lot of people wanted to see it personally already and it is a good thing that the owner let it open for public sight seeing as well as taking pictures of it is very welcome. Personally, I find the sunflower garden so beautiful and extra ordinary. It looks like you are actually in a paradise and the ambiance looks really comfortable as well, though I haven't been there yet and I wish I could go one time and have an experience with happiness of the beauty of the nature.
