What are your preferred accessories or necessities for photography or videography projects?

Though it's just fine, I find it really hard to rely on just just a camera or dslr to get the results when it comes to photography or videography. I use various accessories such as stabilizers, ring lights, different lenses and a good audio device. What are your favorite accessories or necessities when it comes to photography or videograhy?

I am not into videography. My entire video shooting is limited to taking videos from my phone. These are personal videos and I do not share these videos publicly. I have tried making videos and uploading on facebook and youtube, but have limited experience. For the purpose of making these videos, I shot the video from my phone and then edited on windows movie maker.
I have a DSLR camera, my camera accessories include, flash, tripod, and lens.

Thanks for your response. I do think that good audio and lighting is a great necessity when it comes to taking photos and videos. I have been quite an enthusiast when it comes to photography now a days since I've got my new dslr. I hope to learn more about it and how to enhance my work further more so that someday I'd be able to use it professionally.

For videography, you need a video editing program. You may try with something like windows movie maker, however, this program is for amateurs who want to create fun videos for the family. If you are into vlogging or professional movie making, you need to invest in video editing program.

In my case, natural sunlight is enough to have a good lighting. My preferred accessories for both photography and videography projects are monopod, tripod, and stabilizers. As for me, nothing is more crucial than having well-angled and stable photos, as well as smooth and steady footages. These three are my necessities, and other accessories may follow.

I don't really have any of the top photography equipment because it can be quite expensive as just a hobby or passion. If I was getting paid for producing photographies or making a video then I'd surely buy a lot of the equipment needed.

I mainly use my phone to take pictures. I just find it amazing how the latest phones even have dual cameras, such high definition pictures/video and even allow you to edit them on the spot. Technology has come a long way.

Sadly, the lenses and so on are extremely expensive where I live. Most often they cost more than the camera itself.

I also appreciate the great innovation that technology has to offer today. I agree with you that the phones of today do have good results and can compete with high end cameras. When it comes to cameras, the thing that I appreciate is the way I could manipulate photos, have a wider range and in the same time have a higher grade in pixels.

I think each job probably utilizes or depends on different types of equipment. So you probably couldn't nail down one particular group or piece of video or photo equipment for a job. I imagine each job will fall into a different skill category or a group of jobs might vary from the next group of gigs.

Now I am very interested. I see that you know about photography and cinematography. What kind of equipment do you commonly use? I really wish that you could answer my question. Kudos to you.

While this is very true, I suppose there are certain fundamental items which constantly come in handy when taking pictures and recording video. Things like a tripod, a wired shutter release remote, and a good external flash attachment are all essentials to me. Anywhere my DSLR goes, those go with me. For videography, I always make sure to have a shotgun mic with my DSLR, as the standard mic on all cameras is really poor quality and unprofessional.

A tripod is very important if you want to produce a still piece of video. Even if you keep the camera straight or still, when you play the video back you'll still notice a bit of shaking, which can ruin parts of a segment. A tripod will keep your camera 100% still while filming.

One of my biggest pet peeves is having good quality pictures or videos coupled with bad audio, so whenever I am taking a video of something I make sure I have the appropriate audio recording equipment. i also like to make sure I have all the variations necessary too especially when I am shooting outdoors, as sometimes it is windy and I really hate videos wherein the picture is good but the audio is not only bad but also muddled due to windy conditions so when it comes to my own productions I try to make sure as much as possible that these errors are avoided.

I also agree with what you are stating. A good video deserves a good audio. I had a lot of feed backs about my old videos wherein some of my friends said that the quality of my audio was off. I think enhancing or making the audio clear and audible plays a big part in making a video appealing.

I am not really into Photography or videography. I am just like any other people. Whenever I like to capture a scene or a moment, I just grab my smartphone and take pictures. And, when I feel like it has to be special, instead of smartphone, I grab my DLSR, lens and tripod. Just the usual necessities to capture a more vivid and stable pictures. As for video, I used my DLSR and try to beautify it with some video editor available and that works for me though I am not that keen about it. As long as it looks good and I get the desired result then that would be enough for me because just like I said, I am not into digital stuff. What are your preferred accessories or necessities for photography or videography projects?

Same here. For years, I have been using my smartphone in taking pictures. It really delivers well but at the end of the day, when it comes to special occasions, you really need to use important tools or equipment to make your work better. I love using smart hons and cameras in taking pictures.

I make use of my smartphone when capturing pictures and I have to say that it has been a good experience for me. Also, the fact that I can be able to print out the pictures is an added bonus as well.

That's right. I myself only use my smartphone to capture good images and videos. There are a lot of apps via Google Play to help your brush off those imperfections. As long as there are art and logic on your shots and recordings, the outcome would be superb.

I myself also do take pictures from my smart phone because of the easy to use apps available in the market. On the other hand, whenever I need something to be done professionally, I tend to use cameras.

Who doesn't make use of smartphone lately to snap pictures is the question? From what is obtainable today, most recent variables of smartphone products now come with higher pixels quality which makes any picture taken with be almost the same as what a snap with digital camera would give you. I personally cannot pass any day without taking a picture with my smartphone.

You do have a point, but still, higher resolutions and pixels are still offered by cameras. Action related pictures are still best taken with dslrs and slrs. like you, I am also waiting for that day wherein handphones would be on the top of the lines when it comes to everything about images.

Me too, I don't have an intention on being into photography or videography as well. But I did lot's of videography with my iphone 5 only, like it's not that actually good but it's probably fine for a beginner. I just actually do it for fun, because whenever I have this feeling that being to serious to something I'm not a fond of is probably the worst thing to do.

Well everybody has their own preference on how to capture memories through photos and videos. I do agree with people saying that they wouldn't invest on things that they don't feel that isn't beneficial to them. Which is practical on my own opinion. To those who are into photography and videography, I also feel for you be cause just like you guys, I am willing to invest on thing that interests me and may someday become financially beneficial for me.

The truth is that even though one is not looking forward to taking up photography or videography jobs doesn't mean that such individual wouldn't find value in some good pictures and videos made in some occasions. This helps keep a special memory that would always put a smile on one's face anytime the person gets to watch those pictures and video clips.

Well even if your just doing it for fun, you still have to be ready and prepared for any eventuality. You should always have a heavy duty fully charged power bank and a USB connector for continuous camera use. Also memory sticks are important as well as spare batteries for some models.

A photographer should always have a tripod on standby because it's a valuable accessory during photoshoots. It helps the photographer to take proportioned and balanced photos because it makes the shot still and steady.
