Anime Based Movies are getting better

There's this new Anime Based film set to be released in Asia this January and in the U.S. by mid February, it's called ALITA: Battle Angel based on a 90's anime called Battle Angel.  The clips are amazing, and the action scenes are awesome.

Yes, with how technology evolves over time, it would not be a shock if animes will go to higher heights.

Even if anime based movies will get better, I highly doubt it will beat the whole anime purpose. People watch anime not just because of the content, but the design as well. Let's say an anime movie is as good as the original is, I'd still watch the original anime, because it gives me pleasure. The colors, the designs, the drawings. It's something a movie canno't do. The magic that it has.

I sure do hope so, because it's been quiet out there for anime recently. I'm a fan of anime horror, and I simply couldn't find a new good decent anime to watch in this genre. My favorites were Tokyo Ghoul, Parasyte and Another.

Of course, with 3D animation, there are a lot of things filmmakers can accomplish today, that they could not in the past. They can now adapt video games and cartoons into live action films and make them believable too. As time passes, it can only get better and we will get more engaging movies as the limits of live action films will be breached more and more.

I do agree that CGI technology has progressed tremendously in the past several years. That's why there's a lot of old anime which can only be produced now.

Thanks to advancing technologies. Anime movies are getting better and better everyday.

Hopefully they stick to the original story as much as possible. Animations and CGIs are impressive and all but the story is important as well, also the actors/actresses that are going to portray the characters. They need to really be the character they're portraying and not just look good on screen.

Yep, I'm really excited on what really are they gonna produce in the future, I mean that link in the post, is just a very well made Movie.

I have read somewhere that the some producers are aiming for something like making 3D a normal and standard format like how people view 2D. It's like seeing a movie in the cinema without 3D glasses. It's just automatically 3D. I just hope that it will come the in the future.

Very cool! I think we’re always going to see progressions with movies like this as design skills and technology improve more and more. I often think that things just won’t get any better, that they’re reaching a peak — and I’m continually getting surprised!

I know how you feel. There's been some live actions that are disappointing to say the least. And that's one of the reasons why I'm not too excited when a live action comes out. But I've heard a lot of good things about this movie. So I'm definitely going to check it out.

With the continuous progression of technology, film makers are getting better and better in making anime based movies. I am looking forward on the day where movies or live actions are as good as anime or even better.

That is right. I am also looking forward to it that it could look like real people.

Well, everything is a working progress. Of course this will be better and better through time. Given the advancement of the technology nowadays, there's no telling how big can animes an anime movies get in the future.

This movie is on my list of Live Actions to watch. Another one is Bleach. I should probably watch that today since I don't have a lot on my schedule. Although, not all live actions are worth watching. Some are just a joke. I think currently the best live action for me are those Rurouni Kenshin ones. I grew up to watching the anime as it was my uncle's favorite and he introduced me to it. I even went as far as watching the OVAs. There's still one left that I have yet to watch because I couldn't bring myself to watch how it all ends. I'm not ready for that yet.

I agree. A lot of live action films fail to capture the essence of the anime. But Rurouni movies are great. I saw this review on YouTube about the film and the anime's fight scenes and it was really impressive how they do not differ so much.

They followed through with the story quite well given the limited time they have for each movie. All the fight scenes are done nicely. Even the outfits and the props they used are true to the anime version. I do recommend you to watch both movies Anime Based Movies are getting better

Yes, most live action movies are terrible because anime fans expect a lot. Maybe it's still a working progress, but I hope that someday, it will improve.

I think that this one is very promising. The feats looks great and the effects seem seamless. But I didn't really know the anime or even the manga that it was based on so I couldn't really make a thorough comparison.

I'm not sure about anime based movies getting better, because the Attack on Titan was just terrible. This isn't just my opinion, but everyone else thinks so too. Same goes for Parasyte. I don't know, friend. It's almost 100% guaranteed that anime movie wouldn't be as good as the original one.

I am a fan of anime. I have a fair share of anime based movies that I like. Movies like Tokyo Ghoul, Say I Love You, Blue Haru Ride and Attack on Titan. Some stay dedicated to the story line given in the anime version but also some falls far away from the story line. In my own opinion, sometimes viewers get disappointed on the live action movies just for the mere fact that they were expecting something that they relate to the given anime. When the story line changes, well, it could be a hit or miss situation.
