There so many water resistant cameras that you can choose from for your photography during raining season but you should bear in mind that with such features to allow it function in water makes it a bit more expensive.

I would recommend buying Olympus - Tough TG-5 12.0- Megapixel Water-Resistant Digital Camera. It's sold at $379.99.

I have used Nikkon, Canon, Sony, even samsung, however, I have never used Olympus camera. Even though I do not have experience with Onlympus, I know this is one of the best brabds available in the maket. You can fnd moderately priced as well as high end Olympus camera. By the way what kind of Olympus camera is Tough TG-5? Is this a simple point and shoot camera, or a D/SLR?

I think the best nowadays are waterproof smartphones with good cameras like the Google Pixel 2, galaxy note 8 and galaxy s8 and galaxy s9. These smartphones has the best integrated cameras with higher Mo's than normal digital cameras out in the market and they are also water proof.

I agree waterproof / water resistant smartphones are what i think is the most advisable device to use on rainy days. But of course if you want a more professional shots with your DSLR, there are water proofing kits available in the market that cost around 30$.

It's become quite common to have water proof devices nowadays. Tech companies have focused on making their equipment life proof. This means keeping them scratch resistant along with other durability increase.

Yeah, I think if you aren't really a professional photographer then having a good smartphone with a good camera is so much more cost-effective. You already want your phone to be waterproof already in some cases, and they provide so much more value compared to just buying a camera for this purpose alone when you're just looking for some quick photos.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Kakashi2020
That is so true, it's so much cost efficient and cost effective if you just buy a good waterproof smartphone with a good camera rather than spending a lot of money in buying a water resistant or water proof camera which are quite expensive nowadays.

Yeah, personally, cameras are at the lowest priority for me in terms of buying gadgets or devices right now, with smartphones being priority followed by laptops.

I agree with you, especially if you are a freelance and field photographer.

Yes, I agree with you. We use Galaxy S9 when we go out for trip and swimming. It is the best since it's a smartphone, it's easy to handle and bring with you without worries.

I think even the water proof camera's will suffer to find the best shot during this rainy season. The lens might become wet and you have to wipe it all the time. However, I agree with that, water proofs and resistant camera phones is still the best to use during rainy days.

Best camera for raining season..This Olympus - Tough TG-5 12.0- Megapixel Water-Resistant Digital Camera would be a perfect fit for all your outdoor Photoshoot especially during raining season because it comes with all the features that prevents water from getting into its lens and obscure your viewing. Even though it's a bit costly at over $350, but it's definitely worth it if you are going into professional photography business.

Olympus is a well known brand and has a great reputation in the field. With the features and capability it has i think it's worth the money. Specially when you want your shots to be in good quality and as professional.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

This one is looks great if it has that features. That's the problems sometimes when you taking pictures while raining, a single drop blocking the lens. It just 12 megapixel but worth $350, what more if it's 20+ megapixel camera? But I think it's really worth to buy.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Martinsx1
I don't know if Olympus - Tough TG-5 has a brand with up to 20. 0-Megapixel, and even if there is such product, I don't think it's going to be at the same amount of $350. It's more likely to be up to $400 or $500 depending on where you are going to be making the purchase from.

I think with that price, much better to choose the DSLR one, and just avoid to use it during the rainy season, or just buy some safety cover to protect your dslr, lol.

I heard that Olympus Tough TG5 is great. Not only that is water proof, it is also shock proof , dust proof and does good in cool climates which is perfect for people on the go and has a thrill for adventure. I also think that it's features aside from the example given earlier are very promising. Having a F2O high speed lens makes images really crisp an vivid with continuous shooting speed and it also does HD. So, I think that the TG5 is a great camera to have if you are the adventurous type.

For these features, I am going to say that this is the perfect camera to use when we are in rainy season or a period where you can get in contact with the rain for the features will ensure that you have a smooth free coverage at the end.

Well, I'm not a professional photographer, so unfortunately I don't have a personal recommendation on waterproof equipment, I only have experience with regular ones. However, I bought a Kodak PlaySport Waterproof pocket camera couple of years ago, just for fun, and that was a pretty good investment. Honestly, that little one have come with me to the pool, beach, lagoon, lake, and is amazingly resistant. You can dive until up 3 meters underwater, and you can still record videos and take pictures, and they can be on black/white, sepia, or color version. Price is super affordable, and it has HD option too.

I am not a professional photographer and don't even have an idea about this. As an ordinary person who does not know anything about camera, I think cameras are just the same whenever season you are in. I mean cameras are only different with their features. Maybe for rainy season is just a waterproof camera.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Martinsx1
Of course yes, it's only going to be waterproof camera that can be used for photography purposes especially during outdoor shooting when it's raining because there are features such camera comes with that allows it to be used under rain and not get damaged by water in the process. If one try to use just any camera, the rain would ruin it immediately

One of the best cameras I personally know and am aware of is The Alpha A7 III.Its one of the best cameras that the company Sony has made.I think it would suit you best but not maybe your budget.

The Alpha A7 III is being sold on Amazon for over +2000 EUR.You can look up the information about the camera on the web.

The Alpha A7 III is a very good camera as well. I have a good friend that took to being a photographer as is his profession and it's Alpha A7 III that he uses to cover both his indoors and outdoor activities. The magnification of the camara lens are exquisite, it can literally capture anything it's focused and directed on. I would buy Alpha A7 III if I'm taking up photography as my profession.

It depends on what your priorities are, how often do you take photographs and how much money you have. If you are not a photographer, you can do with a good cell phone camera. You can get a water resistant cell phone. If you are not a professional photographer and do not take a lot of pictures, there is no need to spend a lot of money on a water resistant camera. If you do a lot of photography, you can get a water-resistant camera to take pictures during a rainy day. You can also use this camera for underwater photography.

Agree. Sometimes people think an amazing camera is enough to get wonderful shots, and yes a good camera will make your images super defined, but if you are not going to use all the professional features, then why do you have to spend thousands of dollars on it? I'm not a professional photographer, and that's why I tend to buy average equipment, that helps me learn on my way, while taking decent pictures.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

vinaya
A high-end camera will, of course, get you high-quality photo. However, if you do not have skills and knowledge to operate that camera, you cannot get a good photograph. That's why they say the camera does not make a photo, it is the photographer that makes a good photo. Most of us are already photographer because we are already enjoying photography through our cell phone. However, if you are above amateur photography, investing in good equipment is a good idea.

You definitely have a variety of options available to you, and your choice is going to depend on how serious you are about photography.

For starters, waterproof phones are becoming a thing. If you're looking to get a new smartphone anyway, look into getting one that is waterproof and has a good camera. This is probably the most convenient option, but not good for professional photographers.

Next, you have loads of point-and-shoot digital cameras which feature water resistance. This may end up being cheaper than a smartphone. But once again, any professional photographer wouldn't be caught dead with a point-and-shoot.

Now, if you take photography seriously, then your best option is going to be to grab your DSLR and get a waterproof housing/case for it. It would be ideal to get a case specifically designed for your model, as generic cases are prone to leakage.

Well it really depends on your budget because all you need is a waterproof camera, and there are some waterproof smartphone with a high performance camera if you want. Because buying a camera alone is not a practical decision but if you buy a waterproof smartphone with a high performance camera you can use it in multiple ways. You can directly spread your photos via wifi or upload your pictures directly to social media. So there is an advantage to buy a waterproof smartphone with high performance camera than buying a waterproof camera. You can search it by yourself in online stores to estimate the price and your budget.

I own an Experia M5 Aqua and also an M4 Aqua which are both waterproof and dust proof, the M4 has bad cameras at 13 mp back and 5 mp front bit the M5 has great cameras at 21.5 mp back and 13 mp front and this is what I usually bring and use outdoors specially when it's raining because even if it gets wet and soaked in drenching rain it would still run smoothly with no issues at all.

I've also heard good things about the Olympus Tough TG-5 and I've had Olympus branded cameras in the past that have worked well. I haven't personally got this waterproof Olympus though, but everything I have researched about it says that it's great for those kinds of rainy conditions.

I like to have those smart phones that are water resistant since I am more comfortable in having them than any great cameras out there. I find smart phones as convenient since you can bring it anytime and anywhere we want.

I agree with you. Smartphones can outdo digital cameras, as you can bring it anytime, anywhere and it's a very convenient gadget since you can do other things with it, unlike digital cameras alone.

I would suggest a smartphone that is waterproof or water resistant. I think Sony and Samsung offer these types of phones. They are also famous for their phones' camera quality. Sony is very experienced with cameras and waterproof phones so maybe they should be on the top of your list if you would opt for a camera phone.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Yeah you're right, these kind of phones are applicable to use during the rainy season. I have Sony experia, but I honestly afraid to use the camera and allow it to get wet. That phone is very easy to get over heat, I think it will have a complication if I will use it and get it wet.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I have a friend that owns an Xperia Z series phone that is water resistant. He brings it to the swimming pool with us and we capture underwater selfies with it. You should try it in a swimming pool that is not deep or washing it on your kitchen sink to test if it really is water resistant. Best camera for raining season..

As for the heat and water, it would be helpful to reduce the temps of your phone if you put it in water and it won't have any complications. Some computers have water cooling systems and if your phone doesn't have factory defects, it won't break or have water inside it.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

aeon
Yeah, that's right, cold water helps the phone to stay cool, but still, I don't want to try it, I'm still waiting for it to get wet accidentally and not intentionally. I'm too busy and might have time to go to service center. LOL.

Definitely! water resistant or waterproof phones are the best option whenever it is raining. I agree that Sony and Samsung are the best brand fit to the category. The quality is already proven. For me Samsung is the best choice because there are no negative or bad experience when I'm using it.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Yes, you are right. Samsung phones are good for rainy seasons too. Aside from its great quality, its great resistance to water especially the Galaxy S8 and S8+ is the best.

Actually I really don't have any idea but maybe photographers used water resistant cameras for them to have a good shot even if their camera gets wet. When it comes to camera brand, I really don't have idea since I haven't tried each brand. I usually used Canon for taking shots so I cannot tell what brand of camera is the best for taking shots in raining season.

I am not aware of other water resistant digital cameras and I am glad I've found out about it in the replies. The only water resistant camera I know is actually GoPro and some other brands similar to it. I actually like to use it for underwater shots and for rainy days.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Why not try water resistant smart phones? But being a professional photographer, I guess you really need a decent water proof camera. But for those who just wanted to capture anything beautiful around us and can't afford buying such decent cameras, we use water proof smart phones. Anyway, it's not only about the camera, It's how passionate you are to whatever you do. Try to watch videos of those photographers who find a lot of strategies to capture perfectly. Those are examples of how passionate they are in the said field.

Any Water Proof or Water Resistant Camera with great optics, zoom and flash would do. It doesn't matter if it's the latest Camphone or an expensive DSLR, what matters is that it's specs are right and that it can endure wet climates.

It would really be a certified IP68 rated smartphone! Since it may not be a good idea to bring a physical camera or a digital camera when it's raining and it's rather more convenient carrying a phone nowadays unless you have the latest from sony which is the RX0 Mini camera. As long as it's water resistant all will be good.

Both iPhone X and Samsung's S9 are completely water resistant up to 5 feet deep. So these phones are the best to have during heavy rains.

There are a lot of water-resistant cameras that you can use for the raining season. But based on my own experience, the best water resistant camera is Sony RX0. It can produce clearer images with reduced noise. It is freezeproof, waterproof and very handy.

You have a great idea. Taking pictures for all seasons is a good idea. Rain should not be a hindrance.

Back to your question. You have a variety of models to choose from. I would suggest Nikon or Sony. Samsung and Olympus are good midels too.

There a lot of best cameras you can buy in the photography store. When you go the store you will have a lot to choices. All you have to is to specify what you need. i believe there are cameras that are waterproofed. There are also cameras that can be used underwater.

Your only need is the budget to buy them. I f money is not the problem you can really choose the best. The one that is fitted for your photography needs. I believe the brands of that are expensive is the best.

I think that buying a smartphone which is water resistant is the best and easiest way to click pictures in the rainy season. if you are not a professional photographer and want to click pictures in the rain as a hobby then the water-resistant smartphones will do the job for you. if you want to click the pics with your digital camera then you can take a few precautions need to be taken,
like carrying an umbrella and taking the pics standing below it, using plastic bags with zip locks to protect the camera from water. But I don't think that using an expensive camera in rains would be a good idea.
