Has anyone tried Vero - True Social?

What do you think of this photo-sharing platform/social media?
People say it's similar to Instagram except it's ad-free and the home feed is in chronological order.
I tried it when it came out, I liked the interface and the whole idea of it and I noticed that photographers really like that app.

One thing is that it is going to take them a whole lot of publicity to be able to compete against some sites such as Instagram. This is one thing because many people will definitely want to enjoy some good times uploading pictures on Instagram.

I feel that it is already great as it is now. It remains as a new silent counterpart of ad-cluttered big sites of today. With Vero, artists are free to showcase their talents and a lot of their followers could enjoy them without the hassle of ads.

You just reechoed my thoughts up there. It will take an efficient hands to come up with a platform or social media that will unsit the present social media like Instagram and Facebook.

Yes, it would be a great cahllebge for the developers to think of ways to make it popular like Instagram. It would be a long way as Instagram has a lot of competitors too.

I hadn’t even heard of it until now. I’m an avid user of Instagram so it’s hard for me to imagine a situation where I’d stray from that to another platform - unless there was a big mass exodus from Instagram over to this other platform.

Haven't heard of it before, but I checked your link. Looks very good, to be honest. But I'm kinda afraid to try out something new at this moment. So currently I use my old trusted apps. But perhaps I'll give a chance to your app, because it looks very user friendly.

I have it. Deleted it in less than a week. I still prefer Instagram since I'm already following a lot of photographers an artists. And i've already have over one thousand photos on my account. Switching would be hard because I'd have to upload old photos all over again. And I'm not even going to bother both.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I'm sure you left because it isn't really popular like the two most used platforms. The owners just have to work very hard especially now to really get more target for this new platform.

They also need to offer something else that Instagram doesn't have. It's going to be tough really since I think Instagram has pretty much got everything. I wonder if it's changed since the last time I logged in to it.

You must have left so early. Old dogs find it hard to adjust to new tricks. Try it once more.

I did leave the app early, I just couldn't get a feel for it. Maybe if I try again it'll be different for me this time. There were only a few people on the app when I tried it. I think the only reason I downloaded it the first time was because a friend of mine just invited me to follow him.

The platform is very promising. At first glance I could already tell that a lot of artists are actually attracted to it. It just feels so free and clean. I just fear that once it gains popularity, they may start adding ads. I hope they could find a way to break through the market without relying on the ads.

I've read somewhere that they intend to charge users a yearly subscription which may be a bad idea because the big ones are already free, I'm sure most people would rather see ads (me included) than pay a yearly subscription for a social media app.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I agree. Charging ill be a bad idea. It will chase away clients

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I can't imagine how they can keep their service going if people don't want to pay for a yearly subscription and at the same they're against ads, Instagram was once ad-free though, Vero will probably go to that direction too.

Ads especially popups can be annoying. A good site is on without hem ads. It becomes very clean.

I also hope that they could find a way to survive without ads. There could be a time where they will hit their success, I just hope that they will not consider using ads to gain more income. Anyways, they could still get through it since people would prefer a platform witout ads.

It's a platform for photographers and artists, it's niche based so I do think that it's a good platform, it's only problem is it doesn't attract masses and masses is what really counts.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

ivandelrey
Yes! But people don't really like change that much. I mean Instagram works great and the big social media apps came out at the right time so new ones don't have a chance anymore, the social media race is over.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

stbrians
The wrong assumption there. If old apps do not up to their games then new ones will overtake them.

A new strategy should be placed to attract masses. Am one of them here. Am going to try it out. I love trying new ideas.

I'm on Vero but I uninstalled it months ago, I love it and I want it to succeed but I don't really know what to do with it. But might give it another chance in the future.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Exactly how it was for me! It's a really good app but I can't get a feel for it. And that's another thing I don't really know what to do with it. Hopefully they changed a lot since the last time I used it.

Truthfully,I'm just seeing this for the first time but I always like to try new things out so I will research first and be sure it will worth the time I will spend on using the site.

I have no idea about such platform and it is my first time to hear such app, I am interested to know more about it and might as well as give it a try so that I can experience how good it is. I am just curious to know if it is available worldwide for international users.

I will also give it a try because I want to learn about it. The only problem is they are not paying.

I'm sorry, but it's my first time hearing about it. Is it a new platform? How is it different from other social media sites? Anyway, I would love to visit and try it.

Has anyone tried Vero-True Social: I never heard it before but i seems good to use but not now I am afraid to use newly apps maybe next time if the market really accepts and trusted it. I think if it clicks in the marketbit is one of the best competitor of instagram soon.

I want o go to it immediately I finish with these FAQs. I like trying new things out. That way am in position to answer questions about it.

Nope, this is the first time I heard it but I'm quite interested in trying that out, we'll see how that social media platform works, but for now Facebook is still the number one, but who knows that platform will get past Facebook if it's really that good enough and addictive.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Vero is giving competition to Instagram and maybe Pinterest and not to Facebook. Facebook is in a class of its own

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Oh, I see. I guess, there are no existing platform that can go against Facebook. Not that I know, because Friendster was long gone.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

davedaot04
Yep, Facebook is on another level right now, It's way more superior than any of other platforms, not even close but you know, who know's maybe someday some social media platform will be the household name instead of Facebook, like Friendster, before Facebook it's Friendster, everybody knows about that, but Facebook takes the lead, so anything is possible.

I haven't heard that one but I will try to search for it. I think I still choose Instagram as I used to shared photos here in instagram and I think most people used instagram now a days than any other sites. I will still search for this if it's a good website.

Last time I checked Vero, it has similarities to Instagram but also "feels" different. It's a promising app for models and photographers. If it doesn't go down the marketing route then I might give it a try again.

It is worth trying out. Will it give Pinterest and Instagram a run for their money? The internet is a field of competition.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Another site that gives competition is welcome to me. This Vero will do fine to give competition to instagram

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Do they pay its users or it is just sharing pictures? I always like sites that pay. Payment is my motivation.

I would check this out as I always try to be familiar enough with what's new in the world of social media though I don't use it. I haven't tried instagram but I am knowledgeable about it. Who knows maybe something about this platform would entice me to create an account on it and actually use it. I highly doubt it but you never know.

It is my first time to hear about Vero. According to your statement it was like an Instagram. I can see that they have been a good alternative for some Instagram users but they can't beat Instagram or even Pinterest as of this moment. They need to do something that other competitors didn't have and they need a lot of boost on advertisement to become popular. Nonetheless, they got a good start if photographers are satisfied with them.

I like that this platform is not as popular as instagram, snapchat and facebook. I also like that it's more of a place for pro photographers than it is a place where people try to seek acceptance from a place where there is no real truth. For a person who has interests in film and photography, this app will definitely be a great add to me.

Haven't heard of this platform, but seems like there'a a lot of positive feedback about it. I have checked the link and I found it a very interesting platform. For now, it may not have ads but time will come, when more people use their platform, they will definitely accept ads for their additional income.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

ivandelrey
There's also a lot of negative feedbacks about it, not the app itself but the owner of Vero. I agree with you, it's a very interesting platform and yes ads is possible in the future, that's what happened with Instagram before.

It sounds familiar but I never visited the website though. Thanks for sharing the link I would definitely try it out. What makes me interested is it's ad free. I wonder how can they sustain the website. Most websites depend on the ads which in return they use for improvement or maintenance of the website.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

ivandelrey
They say they will charge their users a "small" yearly fee. Would you pay for a social media app? Or would you rather see ads and use it for free?

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

davedaot04
What is that legit? Where do you get that info, because if that's really true then that social media platform is not worth it, because who wants to use something and pay for it rather than use something for free and is popular like Facebook.

They did put in many works and introduced novel features that could technically rival those we have in Instagram. But it will be a different ball game to actually get to compete with a giant such as Instagram. Instagram can wake tomorrow and inclucate similar designs as their into their site. It is not easy to outshine a master
