Use Stencils to Make Money?

When I was a kid I loved working with stencils.  But I've never thought of using stencils to make money.  Now I'm wondering about it.  Any ideas?

I hadn’t thought about it as a money making method, but I just searched online for stencil art and it seems to be quite the growing industry. There were a range of designs including framed artwork that looked really pretty, created by using stencils.

It’s always nice if you can earn from something that you genuinely enjoy doing!

You can earn a lot of money on everything as long as you will put your heart and efforts into it.

I have seen different home decors made from stencils and I really like it. You just have to practice and learn using it. It also have so many different designs to play with. All you need is a creative and playful mind to create a wonderful piece to sell.

Stencil Art is very beautiful. There are all different kinds of stencil's that are available for sell. The possibilities with creating new designs with stencil's is almost endless. If you were to make and sell stencil art, where would you consider doing so? Online - or offline? Or both?

In doing this post I found a stencil vendor that has an affiliate program. I applied and my application is pending. I hope I get approved.

I pray for you. The application should be approved in the mighty name of Jesus. Only believe and it is yours.

Well, in my opinion I have strong respect for offline Stencil Art because it's not easy to manage such art works but it's definitely going to be very more easier to sell online Stencil Art when you are comparing it to how long it might take to sell offline Stencil Art.

This is actually a good why most art works are marketed online in order to increase its possibilities for quick sales.

I suggest selling them both online and offline. SEOckerks sister sites can be a good place to list them. Also staring a website for selling such is a great idea.

You know what, I love stencils so much. It's therapeutic to me and it's such a beautiful for of art. But, I never thought that I could make money with it. Yes I know there are companies that create stencils for home decor, but I never thought of making it alone.

When I was a little girl, about 8 years old, my late mother taught a group of girls (a group of teenagers) how to make scrapbooks. In teaching them about scrapbooking she also used stencil art. Many years later, when I moved to my home in Round Rock, Texas USA, there was a shopping center nearby with lots of small businesses. One of the businesses was a scrapbook store. When I saw the sign I immediately thought of my mom. I was like: "You mean a person could make money from that craft my mom taught those girls all those years ago?"

One thing that I know very well about Stencil Art is that they are very simple and beautiful depending on how the it was carried out.

I have seen some great works on Stencil Art online which seems to be a growing trend as we speak but I haven't considered making money from it.

There is a market for stencil art - but it's not super large. You'll really have to put some test product out there and see how many customers it fetches for you. If you nail down enough feedback that trends in a positive direction, you'll be able to build a solid customer base for yourself in the future.

Stencils art are very interesting and fun. I really like stencil designs from those who's expert with it. I remember one person who does stencil art and she's really good at designing it. She even had a YouTube demonstration of it. Also, my cousin is very interesting with stencil art and she often make one but I don't know why she ended up not getting it finish. If you're going to make it as a business then you need to find a good place to market it. A community where people and artist exchanges information and crafts about stencils.

Christmas is coming and stencilled Christmas cards or boxes would be a good way to begin. Of course, you would have to make or invest in the stencils, but they could also be reusable next year. You could sell online and with other things you make at craft fairs. To do this you would have to move quickly, but online you only need one set of cards to show and could then make to order.

Often during the holidays season, youth groups look for community service projects to do and they often visit the elderly people who are in nursing homes. I'll bet the elderly people would enjoy working on a stencil art project with young people.

I know someone from an Art Group who make money out of Stencil Art. It is impressive how he had done it, cutting out a paper to make a portrait. I am so interested in this kind of art, I edit some of my picture into Stencil on my phone but I didn't try it on paper.

The thing is that you don't have to do your own stencils. You can buy pre-made stencils from an arts and crafts store and then use your imagination to make them unique and different and turn them into a completely brand new item. Then sell your finished product.

Stencils are use mostly in a tattoo art. They help the artist to make the design easily done. Thay way you can earn money using stencils.

Really? I didn't know stencils were used for tattoo art. Maybe the fake tattoos. But I always thought the art was done by professionals who did it free-handed. Really! I did!

Stencil Art is simple and 2 dimensional but there's always beauty in simplicity. I like simple, minimalist art pieces. They are good in accentuating walls.

I agree. I'm a minimalist and I also appreciate the simplicity of stencils. Seeing it in walls could somehow give me some space to breathe out. It is relaxing for me to see which is good.

Exactly! The simplicity of Stencil Art is what draws my attention and interests in the art work dimension.

It's not that I don't like and appreciate complex art drawings, I really do but just like you mentioned there is also beauty in simplicity is why I love Stencil Art.

Simplicity is heavenly. Humility and meekness is advocated for in the Bible. Stencil making might be simple but it is worthy.

I think it is a good idea to make money using stencils. Using stencils can still be a work of art that could help you sell another service. I have seen stencil arts and I think it's a thing now. You can either sell stencil or work with stencils. I think both ways could still help you to earn money.

I think you can earn money with Stencils. It is an art and with your creativity, you can make attract customers and turn them into sales. I believe that there is an AFFILIATE PROGRAM wherein you can sell stencils and make money from it.

You can use stencils as your design in invitation cards. I have seen a lot of invitation cards with a stencil design so you can also use stencil in making prints like in t-shirts, caps and many more so you can still make money out from it.

Well, honestly I have heard about stencils after a very long time. I made use of stencils when I was in school and found it very interesting. Stencil art is something I am very interested in and I will certainly study more about it now. Earning from the Stencils seems to be a very creative and innovative kind of work.

Me too. When I was in college I did not know stencils yet but one of our lessons in our major subject was printing a shirt with stencil design. I can still remember I did Emma Watson in water color paper with the used of textile paint and silk screen. We did cutting of printed black stencil design. It was kind of messy as I just used bond paper in creating stencil, and paper can easily ruined when it gets wet with paint.

Stencils certainly have their place in the industry, but I can’t say that I’m all too familiar with them. The extent of my experience with stencils was from when I was a graffiti artist. We’d make stencils out of cardboard and use them to quickly tag areas with our logos. Obviously, I don’t recommend this behavior as it’s illegal, and going into adulthood I regret the property damage I caused.

I had a graphic designer friend who used stencils to quickly print his own t-shirts, which was definitely a more productive way of using stencils. There’s plenty you could do with them, it just takes some creativity.

Back then, I always have to make nice work of art using stencils. We are a crew of people that are doing this back then and it was fun. I don't really know how good that I am at the moment, but if I am going to make money through this means, I believe that it is pretty cool to use this method.

Well, if you are very good in art works, then it's a very good idea to try and check out the possibility of exploring with Stencil Art because it definitely looks like a great place to expand on art work that stands out in a unique way that one can easily make money online through the medium.

I am not really familiar with stencils themselves for business. I only know that stencils are only used for business like T-shirt printing. I think that this could be a viable business since this is not very common.

I am not also familiar on stencils and this is my first time to hear such like that, I think this would an interesting way to enjoy the art and even used it for money making purposes. I have never been into this type of activity but I am willing to learn from it and might as well give it a try specially that I am curious about it.

Yeah I agree with that. You can create plenty of stencil patterns you like. You can try animals, shapes, Disney princesses, characters, you are targeting more kids on these one. You can as well make patterns that can be use for walls, trees, quotes that will surely interesting for teens and adults.

Stencils could range from being simple to very elaborate designs. Some make animal shapes and you could find a lot of free patterns of them scattered all over the internet. Some designs on the other hand can be very elaborate. Some have mixed photography with stencils, making portraits into stencils. The classic black and white contrast of faces as portraits make incredible pieces of art.

Indeed they are very pleasant to look at. There are plenty of stencil designs that were used on lamps. So when you turn you light out and leave the night stand on, your room will be filled with shadows in shapes of your stencil.

I feel like all kinds of craft can be used for income as long as you put your heart on it and enjoying what you're doing.

When you love what you're doing, it does bot feel like work at all. I wish I could also do arts but I'm not quite gifted.

This is true but location matters. Sometimes, you're in a city, town or neighborhood where the people prefer a certain type of art based on age and interests. So selling the opposite of that might not work so well.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

cmoneyspinner
Location matters if you're setting up a physical business. But that's why so many people like to sell online. The Internet has opened up a whole new world for home-based entrepreneurs. It certainly opened up a whole new world for me. I don't do stencil art but I do a lot of other things. Things that are only possible because of the Internet.

I don't really have any ideas stencil as money making. But I would check this out. I'm sure I can find many ideas online. I would be nice if I could make a craft out of stencil too.

Yes it is possible to make money out of stencils. You can try making and designing cards using them. They can also be used as decorative pieces if you frame them. There's a whole community of bullet journalists and planner enthusiasts who I'm sure would love stencil arts to decorate their pages with and probably use as a divider in their planners.

I believe it's a good option to make money with it, but I wouldn't say it's the best one out there. To begin with they are not so popular anymore right now (sorry to break it down like that), but the idea is splendid. Who knows, maybe you'll make stencils more popular. As for income, I think you can give it a go as a passive income.

Since many are in the Christmas spirit and some might be doing some holiday baking, I found a great video to share. When it comes to making/decorating beautiful cakes I am no longer ambitious. However, when I was younger and my children were smaller I would sometimes dare myself to try to do something extravagant and extra special for the holidays. If you are like me when I was younger you might enjoy this video.
