Blackboard login page.. help?

Where can I create a professional looking image or transitions, that I can use for blackboard login page? The institution that I am incorporated with is currently planning a transition from a self-hosted to a managed hosting environment and I was advised to create a custom login splash page to direct their users to log into either system based on their need. I like the Tumblr login page, it resembles creativity and fun. Any suggestions? I have never done this before...

Are you wanting to just make the background image for the login page, or are you needing help designing even the log in functions that people will use? I don't have any experience developing log in pages specifically, but from a design perspective, you can use Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator to design the background image if you want. You might take a look around stock image sites like Shutterstock to see if you can find a photo or some art that you could buy the rights to use.

Otherwise, you might be best outsourcing the job to someone else. Maybe check Fiverr and get a freelancer who knows their stuff to whip something up for you.

I think that you gave a very good suggestion or recommendations to this issue. If the poster is having serious difficulty in doing the job himself, it would be more better to outsource the job to a professional who posses great expertise in such field. Looking for an expert in fiverr would be a good place to start.

Could you try to clarify a few points? That would help us answer your question better, to be honest. From what I understood, you want to create a login page that has a blackboard style so it looks like the login content is on a blackboard? It's not difficult if that is what you want to be honest. All you have to do is find a suitable background image of a blackboard, a quick search on google and you find loads (although make sure to know what the license for the images are). Set is as the background using CSS and you should be fine.

I don't want you to waste any time answering some of our questions since you probably want to develop and finish the login page as quickly as possible. So I am just going to assume that you want a login page designed as a blackboard. The first thing you would want to do is find a blackboard image, I found this one that is available for free. It is designed for power points but it will work perfectly for websites as well.

You then need to edit the CSS for your login page with the following to set the background image:
body {
background-image: url("paper.gif");
background-color: #cccccc;
}

Change the URL to the location of your image. And then change the colour to what you want it to look if your image doesn't load properly.

Hey, can I use that for my tumblr page? I'm just gonna try and see if I like the way it looks and if not I'll just leave my page as is. I'd try tweaking my css but it takes too much time and I always get confused (lol) and end up reusing what I had earlier.

I believe that if you don't try to over do it when adjusting your CSS setting, eventually everything would be very normal and as you needed it to be. The problem most people experience is when they get lost in what they do and make a mess of the whole thing. So therefore, my advice is keep your editing very simple and all would be perfect.

Seriously, please clarify the post. I just don't know if he/she wants to create a new login blackboard, or if the main page of the company, allows to create a link to do a personal login. Anyway, he/she can go to administrator on the company's home page and maybe customize the login.

I really don't think that the said poster is still interested in getting the problem taken care of because there seems to be zero response from the individual so far from the questions, suggestions and recommendations made by most people commenting here. Maybe the problem has been taken care of and he or she sees no need to come back here for any tips but it's all good, we are all glad to help.
