Impressive finger/palm painting technique

Have you ever heard of finger painting? I was thinking that I have seen it all with brush paintings by amazing artists till I saw a mind blowing fingers/palm painting technique on Facebook. This is by far the most amazing painting skills I've ever seen so in my life.

Oh my, I am so going to try that out sometime very soon. I have paints and paper and love the idea. Thank you as you just sorted out how I will spend my evening. It is an amazing picture. Saves on brushes too!

I have not seen anything yet. I just imagine that it can be done. I believe that artists can almost think and do almost anything.

Seriously, I'm sure that skill of painting isn't going to be a an easy one. Looking at how it's done, one might have the assumption that it's as easy as it looks but it's definitely going to be hard.

What amazes me with how the man carried out the painting was that he didn't get the portrait messed up to require starting all over again. The artist is already an expert in the field.

Am not a good painter at that but am amazed with finger painting. It is a technique worth trying out. I just knew about brush painting.

Me too! I am not a good painter. I am also amazed with finger painting and other kinds of painting. I familiar only with brush painting.

Just like you are surprised to seeing such painting skills, I was bemused as well because I was only familiar with brush paintings until I saw that video.

At first glance, it seemed like a good trick till I took a very closer look at how it's done and I was like wow - that's unbelievable.

I think the same too. It is very interesting and at the same time, it makes you want to try it out. I'm really hoping that I would get to have a good result if I try it on weekend.

I don't have painting skills, however, I admire all kind of artists, from those who paint on canvas to those who do digital painting, street painting to body painting. I have never painted by fingers and hands however, I appreciate this art technique. The illusion created by the painting is amazing.

Here in our city today there is a mural painting. The wall of our cemetery was painted by artists using the brush. After it was finished you won't recognize the place as a cemetery. You will see a great painting artwork.

I think that we all at least have tried out painting once in our lives when we were still kids especially with water color. My little cousin still do excellent work with their water color paints and I'm really impressed with what they have done so far.

Looking at their works sometimes brings back old memories of my kid's days with water color painting.

I never tried doing a finger painting but I admire those people who can do this. It is so amazing to see a painting that was created by finger and palm and not using any brush. I think it is a special skill. Maybe, if I find a time, I will give it a try and see if I can do this.

Yeah, I am looking at creating time to practice this kind of painting. I have been using brush and pencils to make my drawing and if I can be able to upgrade to this latest way of drawing images, it is something that is going to be a great thing for me.

I agree with you. I just need to find time in doing this art. I used to paint using a brush and doing the finger painting will be a new and great experience. It is messy but fun and I think I will be doing this like a kid.

Finger painting is one of the projects our teachers asked us to do when I was in elementary. I can say that it's a quite messy but I enjoyed doing it. I want to try painting with the use of fingers again since I also saw some artworks that was also made by painting with fingers. I've heard that it's hard but I still want to try it someday.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I wish our teacher also asked us to do the finger painting but we were never asked. What we did was just a painting using a brush. Yes, it can be messy but I think it is fun and cool to paint using your own finger and palm.

Same thing here. When I was in the primary grades some of our teachers encouraged us to do finger painting. I agree that it is fun and very educational. It helps children to explore more on their painting talents and let them express themselves at the same time. I am very lucky to be one of those who actually experience that kind of teaching though I know I am not that good in painting.

Yes, I have seen it on facebook. Someone shared it to me and told me to try that one. I think I can do that but may be I can do it slowly for it to look clean. The artist there was so amazing as his talent is unique. He can do that in a faster way and that's the good thing about it and he managed to make it clean and smooth output.

I first saw it in YouTube, there's this Indian who finger paints in the streets in India. He sells his paintings near a busy marketplace and he can paint a piece in just minutes. This kind of art form really needs skills and sensitive hands.

Seriously, the video blew my mind because I have never seen any thing like this before when it comes to painting. Wrapping my head around it was very difficult to do but getting to settle down and appreciate the effort invested in the painting, I knew it wasn't an easy job.

I have been to India and I have seen street artists. When I say street artist, I don't mean the graffiti artist, instead the artists who do face painting, body painting, finger painting on the passerby for money, Sadly, these artists are not valued as the artists who sell painting through the art gallery.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

edencaga
I do hope I can travel to India. I want to see branch of artists doing that kind of works of art. That's true. Artists who sell their painting in Art Gallery can sell hundreds or millions of bucks which is kinda depressing as a lot of artists can't sell such big amount of money.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

vinaya
I think art is not for the masses for majority of artists cannot earn a decent money by selling art and also majority of people cannot buy art pieces because of the cost. It is really sad that some art pieces are sold for millions where as some artist are creating wonderful art just for a buck.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

edencaga
Well yeah, you are right. Life sometimes is so unfair but what can we do if that's reality. I'm hoping for those artist who deserve to be given a credits to their works. I can feel them as I'm also fond of doing arts so yeah.

Yes I did and I also saw a video of it on a social media, the guy was using a color paint and his hand to draw on a canvass, tho it's not an easy way to draw something but the outcome was really good.

Truly, it's not an easy job. I watched it over and over again in order to fully understand and appreciate how he was so good at making such a wonderful painting with just his palms.

At a time, I began to wonder if it was a trick but I was led to believe it's as real as they come because there was nothing hidden when he was doing the painting. It was amazing.

Most people that start out worry more about what equipment they need to buy and use. The creative ones like that one you mentioned have a "Just do it" attitude. Though these people probably do it for the money, you got to admit it takes mad skill to do this for a living. Not to mention under pressure with the people watching you.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Martinsx1
Exactly! The artist show that all one needs most will be the skill to paint and not needing any tools like brush and the rest to paint. With just his palms and cloth, he was able to create a master piece of painting. I'm sure that painting will cost a lot of money. If it's sold anything below $100, I would consider it to be cheap.

I have seen and watched that too in Facebook. The man in the street was selling it to the tourists. What he was doing is he was using his finger as a paint brush and usually he painted the nature like mountains and oceans. I was impressed by his work and it really mind blowing too. Who have thought that a simple man like him has a huge talent in painting. If I were given a chance to visit his country I will find him and buy many paintings made by him.

I also admire those kind of people. You can't really easily judge other people by just their looks, they might be hiding a great talent that could amaze most of us. I also saw that video of which a man painting using his fingers, it is really amazing. I appreciate his talent and his imagination. It is not that easy to create such an astonishing artwork.

That person is not just talented but also humble in his skills. I cant believe what more if he studies in the leading fine arts school,he might learned more and paint impressive things.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I agree. It is nice to see people use their skills and talents to impress other people. Eventhough they were not lucky enough to go to a fine arts school, I can say they are lucky enough for having such skills. What more if they can enroll and study to gain more knowledge, there might be some hidden talents in them that could be unlocked.

Most probably yes, he might have something more to show to people about his talents. He is humble even though he has this skills that genuinely impressive and amazing. I cant wait to see him in the reality tv shows like Got talents, for sure he will impress the judges and the people who will be watching him live.

I've seen a lot of people who got famous because of some talent shows. I hope that he could get into ome someday. His talent can amaze many people and he deserve to be known by many people. On that way, he can also set an inspiration for other people.

What's great with Finger / Palm painting is that it's very fast to finish a piece. You could create art in a span of minutes and you don't need a lot of materials to do it because you're going to be using your fingers and palm as your brush. It's also a fun activity for kids.

I think that's what makes it so great to me - the lack of equipment required. Things that are accessible to anyone, whether rich or poor, are great. I also think it's highly relaxing to be able to paint with your hands!

I was totally impressed with the way he manipulated all the colors that he put in the canvass. I was wondering what type of canvass did he use on his paintings. Doing things like this takes a lot of practice before you could master this kind of art. This guy makes it looks so easy and its honest to goodness real talent.

This is really good! I think it is all about being creative and the skills to be able to do this is not something that we can achieve in a day. Finger painting is a way of some of those artists use to go away from the normal way of painting and it is amazing.

Amazing! I think the last time I finger painted was when I was a child - my own children love doing it now! I love seeing an art that is accessible to everyone being so beautiful and revered!

Finger and Palm Painting is a good art activity for kids. It's a fun way of introducing art to kids. I would see finger painting workshops in the malls and they're usually filled with kids during summer vacation. It's a good way of spending vacation time for kids under 8 years old.

True, I have seen this a lot this in the movies and I have actually gotten my kids and cousins to try it out.

There is this tradition of them having to make a palm paint on the wall during their birthday. It's so much fun.

Drawing or any workmanship that includes the utilization of hands can be energizing and even restorative for a few. Research has additionally expressed that workmanship creates intellectual aptitudes. So finger painting for children and making a wreck on the paper or dividers is an awesome thought. It urges them to be innovative and breath life into their creative ability.

I haven't tried finger/palm painting. But I must say, this really has caught my attention. Human minds are very creative, and you must be a passionate person to be able to do this beautifully. I will try this some time in the future.

I saw this as well in my news feed and was amazed on how good the man is with what he is doing. It seemed so easy the way he put the colors and smudge it on top of each other. At first I never thought how good it will turn out. I don't have a talent in painting and even bad in using watercolor so you can imagine how much I admire his work.

Having this skill is considered to be God-given talent in my books. I, myself suck at painting and takes me hours and hours to complete a project compared to them who can finish one painting in minutes. Awe-inspiring and mad art skills.

I watched some videos doing the finger painting and it was great! Those people were amazing. Finger painting may seem so easy, but it involves complex movements of the hand Even kids are also doing this kind of art. I think it has a lot of advantages for children. It helps young children develop their creativity and can be fun at the same time.

Yeah me too i watched some of videos with different finger paintings they do. And its good they do and used their talent to earn thats awesome. It looks so easy to do it but I know you need time to master those strokes unless you are really professional like them. Love their piece.

I have also seen finger/palm painting in some social media platforms mostly on Facebook and they look pretty amazing! One of the most unbelievable painted was from a 10-year old boy from South Africa. It was about nature, he painted and it seemed so alive and perfectly presented. Truly an amazing work!

Another similar work of art is the one done on sand. I saw it several times in talent shows where they play a music and interpret the song by the use of drawing on sand. It is amazing also how they can transform the sand from one picture to another.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Martinsx1
Haha, I think that I'm very good at this one with sands. If you are very good with visiting the beach often, you are definitely going see so many people who do that as well and you can learn how to do it as well. I do remember that when we were kids, we used to do something so similar with sands by building houses and even covering up ourselves under the sands. It's so fun.

The only finger painting I've ever heard of is the kind kids do! That is amazing and will be my next goal in painting. I just recently got into canvas painting with acrylics and love being creative. I wonder if there's any classes out there you can take on it?

I have seen a lot of videos for people who do finger/palm painting on Facebook. And I really admire their talents for that specific art! They are very cool and talented. Their super fast and beautiful artworks amazes me very much and it seems sometimes I couldn't believe they can do that. Well, in this modernization generation, expect the unexpected from people all over the world in different aspects especially in technologies and form of arts.

I tried hand painting way back my school days. I am not really good at it, but it is kinda fun to do. I do love to made nature painting, like the trees, rivers, and animals. I oftentimes did an abstract painting because no one will get a mistake if you do an abstract painting. That was my way of how to express my feelings at that moment. Other people may have a wrong interpretation of my work, well that's how they understand it. An abstract is like a vivid dream you don't know where it begins and when to stop. I am thinking to paint again.

Finger Painting is being taught in schools here, it's an art class activity in grade school. I remember my kids doing finger painting when they where about 8-9 years old because they got home with their uniforms all messed up with paint. They used to finger paint during weekends when they where young.

This way of painting really makes me feel amazed while I am watching it because I know it's really hard to draw some painting using just a finger or palm.

I'm always amazed at videos of artists while making their art. It's just magic to me because I can't do those things. My creativity when it comes to art is low and if I do think of something, I can't recreate it and paint it in an empty canvas.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Kakashi2020
I think fingerpainting is a fun activity more so for kids but I don't think that making it a way of living would be a good option. Finger Painting can be done in minutes that's why the prices of finger painted works are very low. It can sometimes be seen peddled in the streets or being made in parks.

Artists doing these kind of work are awesome. I mean everyone can do finger painting but some are far more adept and makes a masterpiece that is extremely good. These artists are really impressive because of the great amount of detail they can incorporate in their paintings even if they only use their fingers or palms. These artists on the streets are different but they are amazing artists as well that can do paintings in minutes.

I saw one of that only on a television. It is like a talent show on a certain channel. One doing a painting with the use of his palm. Seems nothing on the first phase then suddenly it becomes abstract. And in the end you will see a good outcome. Very incredible skills.

Ever since I saw it on Facebook I started searching same technique on Youtube. I think it is considered as a street art, as it is performed on public locations where people can appreciate the way they had done the art. Fast and superb outcome. I am also into art but in a different technique, most medium that I'm using are charcoal, graphite and colored pencils. I can also paint using paint brushes with watercolor and acrylic paints. I have never tried doing that technique but i'm interested to try it in the near future.

I've seen videos of this in the internet. Yes its amazing how they can move they're hand steadily. And how they combine two colors in the canvas is so awesome. I tried it the other day and the outcome is awful. Wish I could learn that.

This is sort of related to the topic. It's a suggestion to save artwork as a keepsake. Very often the first artwork that a child does is usually a picture created with finger painting. That “first” work of art should be saved for when they get older. If they have their own child, their art can be framed and put in the nursery for their baby as part of the decorations.

Impresive finger palm painting technique: I really do appreciate art, any kind of art. I didn't saw any finger palm painting in real act, and i wish to saw it in my bare eye. In facebook i saw some finger palm painting and it was amazing, using only a bare hand and mixing the colors with it only. I want to have one of this kind of painting.
